As Friday comes to a close, I felt that a blog update was in order. However, this has been a typical week for us with nothing special or unusual to report. Sometimes no news is good news, of course, but that doesn't make for an exciting blog.
So what is a typical week for Dale and Bianca and Enzo, you might ask? Well, it includes hours on the job for Dale at Independence Blue Cross, hours on the job for Bianca at Pottery Barn and on Tuesdays at The Franklin Institute, and hours chasing flies, watching birds, sleeping, stretching, eating and purring for Enzo holding down the fort at 2005 Brandywine St. Our frisky striped family member is always happy to see us return home in the evening, but he is also sad to see us head out almost immediately to the gym in our ever diligent battle of the bulge and battle to stay fit.
Enzo has been happier than usual this week, however, because we have returned home from the gym each evening ready to spend time with him. This was one of the first weeks in a long time when we were home more nights than not. Olympics watching was a happy activity beginning with dinner and lasting until well after our normal bedtime. Of course, when the Phillies were playing, we did have to keep switching channels in order to keep up with the score and some of the action. The time difference between Philadelphia and Beijing resulting in prime events in prime time has been hard but worth every moment!
This afternoon I had to run some Friday errands in Center City so I took along the camera to capture a bit of the beauty of this city in the summer. The weather has been perfect all week with tons of sun, a pleasant breeze, warm temperatures and a lack of the usual humidity. Who could ask for more in late August?
