After 7 1/2 years, our house was in dire need of painting both inside and out. We hired a very fine young man, Mike McCann, to do the work, and he and his assistant, Calvin, did a masterful job. The house looks beautiful and crisp and fresh on the interior with light gray walls and bright white woodwork and trim in all of the rooms with the exception of two bedrooms that are painted a pale ice blue, still with the bright white trim. The exterior has also been transformed. The dull beige rear stucco was recoated and painted a bright buttery shade, and the shutters, door and upper detail molding on the front of the house were scraped down and totally redone in a style befitting a house built in 1870. All of the ironwork and shutter fixtures were painted a glossy weather protectant black, as were the spiral stairs leading to the top roof deck. It all looks great!
Note the dental molding at the roof line. That is a particularly fun touch, I think.
