The Phanatics of Spring 2010

In order to kick off the baseball season, and to stir the citizenry to even greater Phillies frenzy just in time for opening day, local artists were given the task of painting 6' Phanatics that are now popping up all over town and providing a fun and fanciful touch to our fair city as it bursts into springtime splendor. I discovered these four while wandering the city during the last couple of days of gorgeous weather.

"Ben Phranklin" can be found just outside The Franklin Institute.
The Space Phanatic inspires all readers outside of The Free Library.
The Love Phanatic holds the key to the city and LOVE Park.


The historical Phanatic displays the faces of all the most famous Phillies through the years. He is perched right outside Citizen's Bank, the benefactor and chief sponsor of our beautiful ballpark.

There are 20 Phanatics spread throughout the city, and I am determined to find them all!
