"Field of Streams"

Last night baseball history was made. For the first time ever in the World Series, a game was suspended because of rain. A mysterious storm that had not even been forecast in the morning developed during the day, and by game time a light chilly drizzle was falling. As the game wore on, the temperature kept dropping and the rainfall and wind speed increased exponentially. At 10:15 PM and after six innings, with the score tied 2-2, the players soaking wet and stiff with cold, and the fans in attendance bundled up like Nanuk of the North but loyal to the end, the officials decided to suspend the action and resume the game later. However, after another hour of deliberation, it was decided to suspend the game until tonight, picking up where the previous game left off but using pitchers from the bullpen. This afternoon a further decision was made to suspend the game until tomorrow evening. That was probably very wise considering the fact that SNOW SHOWERS are predicted for this evening. The precipitation is forecast to stop tomorrow, but the high temperature is only going to be in the low 40's. Brrrrr, that is not baseball weather!

What is this? Is William Penn just laughing from up above as he brings the wrath of horrid weather to further frustrate the legions of Phillies fans and players just wishing and hoping and praying and pulling for a championship to break the dreaded curse? The longed for victory seems so close and yet oh so far away right now.
