On 30 Dec., and less than 24 hours after our return from Europe, Julian and Rene stopped to spend the night on the way home from Richmond. We had a wonderful visit, but for some reason, the camera never came out of the cabinet. Think we were simply having too much good food, good drink, post Christmas gift exchange and good conversation to even think about photos. They left after breakfast on 31 Dec., and I prepared for the arrival of Will, Laura and Julia. They had also been in Richmond for the week, and they wanted to extend their holiday with a couple of days here before flying back to Seattle on Sunday. We were excited to have them all here!
Julia was able to construct a wonderful little snowman on the patio table out of the remains of Monday's 12" snowfall.
We rang in the New Year 2011 with bells, poppers, fireworks seen from the roof deck and yelling in the house and out in the street!
On New Year's Day Will drove us up to Montclair for a family party with Ashley, Jason, and Claire. Julian and Rene came out from Brooklyn, and with the exception of Courtney, Jeff, Catherine and Annie, our gang was all there! We wish they could have been with us.

All of that snow in the yard just begged to be formed into a snow character. Julian, Julia, Laura, Rene and Will created a masterpiece.
Jason was very temporarily no longer the tallest resident of 7 Potter Court.
Pop with his built-in Boppy had the magic touch with Claire on New Year's Day. She was simply mesmorized by his bouncing.

Back at home and awaiting our Luigi's Pizza, Julia and Laura declared that they really were not ready to go home just yet. However, the morning would come all too soon and there was a plane to catch. We will miss you until we see you again, and we hope it will be SOON!
